OUR MAIN DOG UNIT
Our main dog unit is a Skoda Octavia 4 x 4 which was custom-built for it's previous owner, Kent Police. No expense is spared for service dogs as they are in the vehicle all day, in fact it costs between 10K and 15k to convert a vehicle like this to DEFRA and RSPCA guidelines and legislations, to ensure the safety and comfort of service dogs. So it is an ideal vehicle for a business such as ours. It features 2 fully sealed dog accomodation areas, one for a German Shepherd-sized dog and 1 for a slightly smaller dog, which would have housed a spaniel. It has escape hatches, a drainage system, fully tinted rear windows and white UV-resistant kennel sides, roof and base. It also benefits from a roof-mounted fan to suck in cold air, side vents which are fed from the electric windows in the rear side doors, and a climate control/air conditioning system. We have fitted RSPCA vet-bed fleece bedding to add some comfort.
