OUR VEHICLES - DOG UNIT 1

We are pleased to unveil our new van. We saw it and loved it when it was on display at Crufts 2020 on the stand of Lintran K9 Dog Transit Systems, who kit out vehicles for the UK Military, Prison Service, Police, Fire Service, RSPCA, Dogs Trust, Battersea and many more. So we were delighted to get the chance to secure it's purchase to make our customer's dogs as secure and comfortable as possible.

Being their one-off demonstration vehicle it is fitted out with pretty much everything they make, and so is probably the best fitted-out dog van around. There are 4 versatile dog areas fitted with bespoke, fitted, crash-tested galvanised dog crates, with the rear facing ones having escape hatches in case the van is hit from behind. For safety each compartment has it's own individual bolt and lock, and for comfort it benefits from soft rubber matting and LED lighting. It's all plastic and rubber for hygene purposes, and the load area is fully waterproofed. It has twin side loading doors so we never need to unload a dog on the road side of the vehicle.

The dogs also have two roof vents, a roof-mounted electric van to force fresh air into the vehicle, as well as two further small electric fans to blow either cold, or hot air from the heater, around. As if that wasn't enough the dogs even have their own air conditioning system too for the rear compartment. Whilst we don't keep dogs in the van for too long generally, these things are handy to have, especially for longer pet taxi runs to specialist vets or such like.

We also have lockable drawers for all our kit, with spare leads and collars, wildlife rescue kit, pet and human first aid kits, towels, bowls, cleaning products, dog shampoo, water, tow rope, warning triangle, bollards....the list goes on! We also have a ramp and steps for the dogs with mobility issues.

So we are sure this significant investment will further improve the experience both for us but more importantly the dogs.

It fully entered service on 28th May 2021.
