Music Trains 2013

Music Trains will take place this year on the 14th and 15th September in Strathpeffer Community Centre. The event will be organised by Alpha Munro of The Orff Scotland Committee and the tutor will be Caroline Wilkie.

Caroline Wilkie has recently returned from the Orff Institute in Salzburg where she completed a Postgraduate University
Course in ‘Advanced Studies in Music and Dance Education – Orff Schulwerk’. Prior to studying at the Orff Institute, Caroline studied violin and Community Music at The Royal
Conservatoire of Scotland where she graduated with a BA Honours Degree in 2005. Her studies immediately continued
with the British Kodály Academy where she gained a Professional Development Certificate in Early Childhood Music
Education –Kodály from Roehampton University in 2006. In 2009, Caroline completed a MSc in Music in the
Community at The University of Edinburgh. In Scotland, Caroline works as a freelance musician and educator. Over the
last few years, she has worked for The University of Edinburgh; The Royal Conservatoire of Scotland; Drake Music
Scotland; The Maryhill Integration Network; The Albanian Scottish Society and The Scottish Ensemble
