The Workshop is a small textile art studio, home to Ruth Black and Mary Wood - a mother and daughter team. In their family business, Anna Macneil, they make a wide range of items, mostly using Harris Tweed which they decorate with their stunning embroidery designs. In addition, Ruth offers feltmaking and embellishment classes and makes a range of ecclesiastical embroidery. Mary offers a made-to-measure dressmaking and corsetry service where she designs and makes highly individual outfits. Come and watch them at work, browse their small shop or try your hand at feltmaking.
During Art Around the Firth week, we are offering drop-in taster sessions for feltmaking.
