Philosophy Pioneers
The Philosophy Pioneers was launched with a session at University of Bath, 22nd April 2010. It was an introduction to philisophical enquiry for representatives from Small Schools in B&NES.
The Year 5 pioneers were introduced to philisophical approaches based on the P4C (Philosophy for Children) model and logbooks for them to document their thinking as they chose.
These representatives are now responsible for taking back the agreed question to their schools and introducing other pupils to these approaches. They will be organising a day for all the Year 5 pupils from the schools to meet together and share their enquiry.
The agreed question was:
Can something beautiful come out of something ugly?
