Platinum Jubilee

The village has plans to celebrate Her Majesty the Queen's Platinum Jubilee.  

Currently (subject to change) we have this:-     

Thursday 2nd   21:45 - Lighting of the Beacon

Friday 3rd        Museum display
                       12:30 First Friday Lunch
                                 in the Village Hall
                                 (booking essential 861 063 ). 
                       15:00 Unveiling of 4 Blue Plaques
                                 in the village
                                 (refreshments at the shop) 

Saturday 4th     BBQ and Steam up at the Royal Oak.

                        Walk in the parish (Jeremy Gartside)

                        Queen's Platinum Concert and picnic
                        in the Rec. Fancy dress optional.

                        40s band at Village Hall with Food
                        stalls in Village Hall Car Park

Sunday 5th       10:00-19:00 Street Party
                                           at Mary Gardens
