As usual the Burns Supper w/e was well attended, with a team of 18 enjoying the Club's annual celebration of the bard. 

The Saturday saw various sub-groups heading up Carn Ban More and nearby gullies. Skis could be deployed soon after leaving the forest, skinning up the old snow patches. The snow-covered heather was not weight-bearing, and best avoided. The cloud base rose during the morning, but didn't clear from the top. The light was very flat, and the light breeze made it very cool on the plateau. Not a great inducement to go on in the near white-out.

On the Sunday it was breezier. On following the path up Allt Ruadh the gale was evident on emerging from the trees. The snow was not going to be much good until more height was gained, and it was not worth continuing in the deteriorating conditions.
