FINDHORN MARINA CRUISING SCHOOL JOINING INSTRUCTIONS AND TERMS AND CONDITIONS.

Practical Courses

Note: Minimum of 2 students required to run the course

All practical courses and cruises will be conducted on ‘Celtic Ros’ a 35ft Beneteau Oceanis Clipper, a modern 6 berth cruiser (2 double cabins, 2 single berths in the saloon) which is commercially registered with the Royal Yachting Association and Maritime Coastguard Agency. Practical Courses last from 2 to 5 days. On the longer courses you will be accommodated on board overnight and visit different harbours in the area. Couples will be always be allocated a double cabin.

Equipment. Please bring with you:

Waterproofs (outdoor anorak is fine)
Warm clothing.
Change of clothing.
Gloves.
Soft nonslip footwear (trainers are ideal).
Waterproof nonslip footwear (optional)
Sleeping bag and pillow. If you are allocated a double cabin you may bring a duvet and sheet instead of a sleeping bag.
Towel and toiletries.

Passport sized photo (for Day Skipper and higher courses only).
You are advised to purchase from the RYA web shop (15% discount to RYA members) and study before your course :

          CCPCN  Comp Crew Skills 2nd Edition(CC Courses only).
          DSPCN DS Practical Course Notes (DS Courses only).
          G158 RYA Cruising and YM Syllabus and Logbook. (All Courses).

General: Space on board is a premium so limit your wardrobe and stow in a soft holdall.
Safety equipment and navigation equipment is supplied by the School.
Courses begin at 0900 at Findhorn Marina unless told otherwise.

Victualing. Food on board will be at the School’s expense. Any food taken ashore will be at the student’s expense.

Practical and Shorebased Theory Courses

Payment: £50.00 deposit at the time of booking. Balance 2 weeks before commencing the course.

Cancellation Policy:

Cancellation by the Client: 14 days’ notice and the client will receive a full refund. Less than14 days’ notice payment is required in full. The client is advised to take out cancellation insurance.

Cancellation by the School: In the event of the company having to cancel for any reason whatsoever, the company will endeavour to place the client with a similar course for the same dates with a similar sailing school, and will refund any payments in full. The company will not be liable for any other expenses or costs incurred for any reason whatsoever.
