Research Boats

As you can imagine the Moray Firth dolphins also attract a lot of attention from the two local universities. Much of the information we have about the local dolphin population comes from studies by the Aberdeen University in collaboration with Scottish Natural Heritage .

The two  research craft which are used can be recognised from the photograps below. Firstly is the University of Aberdeen's boat  "Rona", here pictured with a dolphin up ahead.

Also  the University of Highlands and Islands craft, " Highland  Surveyor" pictured below.
