SAFEGAURDING

Although everyone has a role to play in ensuring that children and vulnerable adults are safe, all Clubs must appoint a designated person, who has specific responsibility for implementing the policy, and to act as the point of contact. Also to liase with, and receive information/advice from, Cheshire Crown Green Bowling Association (CCGBA) and the British Crown Green Bowling Association (BCGBA).

The Club Safeguarding Officer is Janet Cross

She is a member of the Club Management Committee and has the relevant knowledge on welfare issues having attended the ECB Safeguarding Workshop in 2017 (also 2009 & 2014), and ECB Safe Hands Club Welfare Officer Workshop in 2019 (also 2012 & 2016). She has undertaken the Disclosure & Barring Service check and holds an Enhanced Certificate (001623049440) which is valid until 10/03/2026.

If there are any concerns, the Welfare Officer will :

Be the first point of contact for any worries, issues or allegations, from children or vulnerable adults, ensuring that confidentiality is maintained in all cases.

Inform the Club Management Committee if any action is required, again ensuring that confidentiality is maintained.

Inform the CCGBA and BCGBA if necessary.
