At least 1/3rd of the total club members attended at Airdrie Bowling Club to show their support for our representatives in the Finals of the Gents Pairs and Gents Triples. Both games were played at a high intensity and the results were in doubt right up to the final bowl in both games. Ross Busby and Jim Purves prevailed in the Pairs against a good Glengowan pairing but Ian Chisholm, Dave McIntyre and John McHutchison just failed in their game against a Coatdyke trio.

After the presentation of the trophies for the individual players, President Ian Baxter collected the Monklands Cup to add to the Junior Singles trophy won earlier in the day by Declan Tobin. This was a very fine result to complete the inter-club competitions for another year and the acceptance of the trophy awarded annually to the Monklands BA Champion Club marked our success in a tangible way and rounded off the season very nicely.. Our congratulations are extended to all of the players who have helped keep Caldercraig at the fore-front of local bowling for another year.
