Mathieson Paterson Trophy
24 players took to the green to contest the Mathieson Paterson Trophy. 16 ends were played in sunshine, and an enjoyable day was had by all. In a closely contested tournament The triple of Ciaran Hands, Elaine Moxen and Kevin McLoughlin lifted the Trophy. Many thanks to everyone who attended. With particular thanks to Kevin Moxen for Bar Duties, and Jean and Margaret for running the Joe 90.
Next Saturday, 27/04/2024, brings the turn of one of the most popular competitions the Bowlathon, arrival at 1.00pm for a 1.30 start on the Green, hopefully well have a continuation of the great support from members for the day, and a repeat of the sunshine would be nice! See you Saturday.
13 April 2024Opening Day
The Green was officially opened when Ladies President Margaret Murray delivered the Jack and 1st Bowl of the season. A good crowd had gathered for the opening, and 28 Bowlers participated in the seasons first competition for the Chairmans Cup. The winning triple of John Campbell, Anne Baillie and Alex Cooper lifted the cup. Those assembled were then treated to a excellent Buffet and some well earned refreshments. Thanks to all who contributed to the success of the day, especially the Caterers, bar staff, and ticket sellers. Also thanks to those who came along to the opening. Hopefully the start of a great season at Caldercraig.
