rescue bassets
we moved from south africa 2 years ago back to scotland with our 3 bassets 2 of which were rescued from terrible situations we sent them to france for 6 months where they lived in a wonderfull farm and then we drove from scotland to bring back our precious cargo. watching bassets playing in snow for the first time is something so special and they just love their forest walks .people are always commenting on how friendly and sociable they are .

Hello Lorna,
Glad to hear your two rescue bassets have settled down in Scotland and are enjoying playing in the snow. I am sure you will enjoy walking with all three of them and meeting other people and dogs.

Barley
Just had Barley our Basset at the vet for his check up and booster. We have had him since 1998.Vet was very impressed that barley has reached 14 years. he is now starting to show his age but is still going strong

Hello Ivor & Barbara,

Pleased to hear that Barley is still going strong at 14 years of age. This shows that the Basset Hound is a very healthy breed and that Barley has received care and affection from yourselves.

visitor & basset lover
I added your site to favorites after finding it on bassetwalkersscotland and having met the Tillicoutry bassets now near my basset,
Precious 9 yr old from USA.
I've had bassets for approx 27 yrs. starting in USA, but have lived in Scotland for
17 yrs recently moving from Edin. Nice to know about
Scottish bassets.

Our beautiful bassets
This year we rescued two basset hounds. Harvey came to live with us in April from the RSPCA and Poppy came in August from the Basset welfare. They are such lovable characters and we love them to bits. They have both made us very happy and we hope that they feel the same.We have enjoyed looking at your website.

Walks
Hello, i've just browsed your website. Excellent I must say, full of information.
Was wondering if you do organised Basset Hound Walks?
Posted by sammy yarwood on 27 May 2011
Very many thanks for your kind comments. If you haven't already done so, could you please help the Breed by completing the 2011 Health Survey.
Informal walks are arranged from time to time and details can be obtained via the Links page on the left.
