We are committed to protecting and respecting your privacy in compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

​This privacy notice explains how TLC Skincare and Beauty looks after personal information you provide as a client.  It also explains about marketing communications you agree we may send you. 

This notice explains how we do this and tells you about your privacy rights and how the law protects your personal information.

What personal information we collect about you:

We collect information about you when you book an appointment for a treatment or when you visit the salon for a treatment,  whether contact is online, on paper, by email or over the phone.

The information you give us may include your name, address, email address, phone number, treatment and relevant history which may suggest that a service or treatment should not go ahead or certain products should not be used (eg allergies, pregnancy, skin conditions).

How we will use your personal information:

In line with GDPR we will use your personal information to fulfil our contract with you ie to provide the service or treatment you have requested and to communicate with you about your appointments or treatments.

When it is necessary to obtain health or medical information in relation to treatments, we will always ask for your consent to hold and use such information.

We will not share your information with any other third party  except to help prevent fraud, or if required to do so by law.

We will not hold personal information for clients under 16 years without the explicit consent of their parents.

Marketing:

From time to time, we may like to send you information about products, special offers and treatments that may be of interest to you.  We will ask for your consent to receive marketing information.

If you have consented to receiving marketing, you may opt out at a later date.

You have the right at any time to stop us from contacting you for marketing purposes or giving your information to third party suppliers of products or services.  If you no longer wish to be contacted for marketing purposes, please contact us.

How long we will keep your personal information for:

Unless you request otherwise, we will keep your personal information to contact you  for a maximum of 3 years from your last visit to the salon.

After 3 years we will securely destroy/delete all your personal information including:

  • Client general records 
  • Client treatment history

We will delete emails 1 year from date sent/received.

Security of your personal information:

All personal information is held securely within the salon with access limited to authorised salon personnel:

  • Paper client treatment records are stored in a restricted locked cabinet
  • Electronic records are encrypted and password protected.

Access to your personal information and correction:

We want to make sure that your personal information is accurate and up-to-date.  We will check the personal information we hold is correct when you visit the salon.  You can ask us to correct or remove information you think is inaccurate.

You have a right to a copy of your personal information and the right to ask us to delete, remove or stop using your personal information if there is no need for us to keep it.
