After their convincing win on Saturday, Burnham Ramblers Reserves were brought down to earth as visitors Westhamians took the points with a 4 - 2 victory.

Brendan Van Rossum opened the scoring after just two minutes when a cross from the left deceived the goalkeeper and crept into the corner of the goal. The visitors went further ahead after 18 minutes when Simon Hales latched onto a through ball to slot it home through the keepers legs.

Burnham pulled a goal back after 36 minutes when Ollie King scored from the penalty spot after a push in the box. Just two minutes later the scores were level when Lloyd Wilson surged into the penalty box and slipped the ball past the keeper.

Westhamians went back ahead after 40 minutes when Brendan Van Rossum was brought down by the goalkeeper and Chris Taylor scored the resultant penalty to make the half time score 2 - 3.

The final goal of a thoroughly entertaining match came in the 59th minutes when, after six mid-field passes, the ball was crossed to the far left hand corner of the goal and Stuart Williams soared above the defence to head the ball home.
