BEACH CLEAN
On 1st of May we welcomed some hardy volunteers from the National Park who valliantly went up to the Nature Trail to help clear out more ditches.
While they were doing that a group of volunteers from the village carried out a beach and path clean. Although the beach was reasonably clean we still managed to collect around 13 bags of rubbish. We put that down to responsible people who frequently pick up rubbish as they walk along and also Actual Reality who carry regular beach cleans as part of the curriculum for some of their groups.
Both groups joined up for a delicious lunch of bacon and sausage rolls. A big thank you to all who turned up and are willing to give up some time to keep the village tidy.
