Why visit Skye?

Skye consistently appears in world's best lists for destinations and places to visit before you die features. There's nobody I've ever met who has regretted a visit to Skye and everybody wants to come back once they have had a taste of this magical and beautiful place. It's a bigger island than people think with lots of "must visit" attractions - Dunvegan Castle, The Fairy Pools, The Cuiliins, The Walk up the Storr and so on. It's also full of hidden gems just waiting to be discovered although many of these are off the beaten track.

Why Portree?

Portree is the island's biggest town (population just over 2,000) and nominal capital. It sits halfway up the island in a sheltered bay on the isle's eastern side. It has many attractions - a harbour with some of the best seafood restaurants in the world, a whole range of different places to eat, lots of local pubs where you can enjoy a "wee dram" and listen to some live music.

Why Air Leth?

"Air leth" is a gaelic phrase meaning unique and very special. Our location in Portree is ideal - ten minutes walk to the town centre and all its attractions, no parking problems, and our new apartments are specially designed to ensure full access for people with disabilities. What's more, unlike many other places in Portree our Self Catering facility also welcomes dogs, although we ask you to contact us first to discuss this.
