Cowick Youngs...were they Millers?

Mike Young writes....

My Young forebears were for a generation or two the millers at Fockerby and I strongly suspect that they came from Cowick.  Certainly there is a considerable cluster of Youngs there in the first half of 18C.  I know that (certainly later on) there were windmills at East and West Cowick.  Were they then millers?  I wondered if any of your members have touched upon any of this....

He adds that....

Thomas Young born 1735 son of William Young of Cowick was said to be a "milner" when he married Elizabeth Hill at Snaith 1758.
