Middlesbrough Magic Circle Lecture
-------------------------------------------------------------------
The 'Wayne Mattox' Lecture (Tales from the Workshop) Monday 13th July 2015 saw 'Wayne Mattox' visit the Middlesbrough Circle with his 'Tales from the Workshop' lecture.
This was a 1st class demonstration of some beautifully crafted pieces of wooden and metal magic props all made by hand.
The thinking behind the effects was ingenius and left members astounded !
The 1st half included an automated silk through mirror, a magical appearance in an all square cube, zig-zag card box, topsy-turvy chairs,
6 in line (a nest of boxes reveal of 6 coloured golf balls), a double wris
t chopper and a card vanish box used for an effect called the gypsy's curse.
The 2nd half included a floating table, solid brass block penetration, bird through mirror into a birdcage in a sealed box, spooky arrow prediction effect,
Nail through Dracula effect and a card effect called Tommy Cooper featuring glasses and bottles.
This was without doubt one of the most interesting nights entertainment that we have seen at MCM in years ! Astonishing !
Wayne was extremely friendly and happy to answer 'most' questions and let us examine the props during breaks. A great night was had by all.
