Woodlarks - free singing and woodland craft workshops

PLEASE NOTE MAY 5 and JUNE 10 ARE FULLY BOOKED - you can go on the waiting list if you wish and/or book for a different date.

Thanks to generous grant funding from Defra/EU we are able to offer a series of workshops during 2012 and they won't cost you anything!

The workshops will be held at Spinney Hollow, Fair Oak, nr. Winchester, Hampshire, UK. (Full directions will be sent once you have booked a place.)

Joyful, exhilarating singing…and no auditions!  Great songs – great harmonies – great fun!

Whether you are already in a choir or singing group, or if you only sing in the bath, there will be something here for you.  Songs (from Britain and around the world) are all taught by ear, so you don’t need to read music or have previous singing experience - all you need to bring is enthusiasm and a desire to have a go.  Woodlarks workshops are for everyone who would like to sing, so even if you have not sung in a group before, you’ll soon gain confidence.

An inspiring leader…

Sarah Morgan leads two thriving community choirs in Hampshire.  She is renowned for running workshops which are full of good humour, lovely songs and gorgeous harmonies, so you’ll be in very good hands.
“a great teacher who encourages all of us to participate. I never thought I’d be able to sing in harmony with others.” Janet C

Spinney Hollow is a 5 acre woodland at Fair Oak near Winchester, specializing in rural craft courses and outdoor arts events. Find out more about it by going to http://www.spinneyhollow.co.uk
“an inspirational place to come to and to sing in” Miranda J
“amazing - it surpassed anything we had imagined.” Sue and Terry K

And that’s not all….

Do you have a partner, family member, or just a friend who’d love to share the Spinney Hollow experience with you, but who doesn’t want to sing?

We’ve catered for them too, with some very exciting woodland activities. People can have a great time trying their hands at a host of intriguing woodland "tasters", including

  • charcoal burning
  • foraging
  • wild cooking
  • green woodworking
  • and more…

NB The woodland tasters are reserved for people who are coming to Spinney Hollow with someone attending a singing workshop.  Sorry, but we are unable to accept bookings just for a woodland taster.
