 Donald Armour BVMS MRCVS Donald graduated from Glasgow Vet School in 1987. Once qualified, Donald spent a year working in the South Lake District, before returning to Campbeltown. Donald became a partner in the business in 1993.
Whilst at university, Donald was awarded the Ben Brazil Prize for the final year student with best practical ability. He has also completed a diploma in Dutch cattle foot trimming.
Donald is married, with two sons and when he isn't busy working at home on the family dairy farm, he enjoys a round of golf at one of Kintyre's well known courses.

.jpg) Ruth Smith BVM&S MRCVS Ruth is an Edinburgh graduate, and came to Campbeltown in 1991 where she has lived and worked ever since. Ruth became a partner at Westwards in 2009.
Ruth enjoys all aspects of mixed practice, especially small animal surgery and has a particular interest in orthopaedics. On the large animal side, Ruth says her favourite part of the job is getting out and about to visit the friendly Kintyre farmers!
When not at work, Ruth is kept very busy at home on the farm, assisting her husband and looking after two teenage daughters!

 Louise Millar BVM&S MRCVS Louise studied at Edinburgh Vet School and graduated with Distinction in 2010. She initially worked in a mixed practice in Perthshire before starting at Westwards in 2011.
Whilst at University, Louise completed an elective in anaesthesia and critical care and in final year, was awarded the Prize for anaesthesia. Louise has a particular interest in small animal medicine.
Louise is married and lives with her husband and their 2 year old daughter on their dairy farm with their border collies, hens and her horse. |

 Marije Terpstra MRCVS Marije graduated at Utrecht, The Netherlands, in 2012. After a short spell on both Islay and Skye she started working in Campbeltown.
Marije enjoys the variety of mixed practice and the beautiful Kintyre views when driving around on a farm visit round.
Marije has a particular interest in horses and is a keen horse rider herself, having 8 horses of her own at her family stables in the Netherlands

 Dominic Sharkey BVMS MRCVS Dominic graduated from Glasgow Veterinary School with Commendation in 2014 and joined Westwards shortly afterwards. He has a wide range of interests, and is keen to get involved with all aspects of veterinary work involving farm animals, pets and horses. Outside of work Dominic is a keen cyclist and spends much of his spare time training for various races and events. He is looking forward to getting involved in the community and is planning to compete in the MOK Triathlon this summer.

Her favourite part of the job is helping the vets with in-patients, but says that she finds all aspects of the job interesting.
