Saturday 10th October will see the first competitive action in university shinty for the 2009/2010 season with a Freshers Tournament in St Andrew's University

Strathclyde will be represented by a Mens and Women's Team this year, both of which will contain predominantly first year students. The action kicks off in St Andrew's at 10 am and is expected to run until 4 pm

The team travelling up will be meeting at 8.15 am on Saturday morning outside the Union for the drive to St Andrews and a full report on the days events will follow next week
