A train at Neath River Side station (Neath Low Level with s main train above.
This line closed to paasenger traffiic in the 1962 and has since being used to transport coal from the Tower Colliery which closed in 2008 The only traffic now is coal from some of the open cast mines in the Neath Valley.
The Future: a Metro Line for Neath?
With congestion on our roads getteing worse, one practical use of this Neat Valley line would be a METRO LiNE ar shown on the Google maps below
