Just prior to setting up Three Little Words, Karen was responsible for Consumer Direct, the government's consumer advice service.  In Christmas 2008, a campaign was created to inform consumers of their Christmas Shopping Rights. 

Karen managed the project that created "Savvy the Elf" and included:

• a dedicated "Savvy" micro-site
• a launch event (featured on GMTV and regional news programmes)
• bringing "Savvy" to life with an actress and costume
• promotional materials
