He died 11 th June, 186o, at 6, Stanhope Street, London, W., and was buried at Kensal Green, having married 1stly, 17th July, 1821, at St. John's, Hackney, Eliza, daughter of Vincent Francis Rivaz, Esq., of Hackney ; she died 13th March, 1836, without issue, and was buried at St. Peter's-in-the-East, Oxford.
BADEN POWELL married, 2ndly, at Speldhurst, 27th Sept., 1837, Charlotte, daughter of William Pope, of Hillindene, Middlesex, Esq. ; she died 14th October, [844, and was buried at Speldhurst, leaving issue one son and three daughters.

BADEN POWELL married, 3rdly, loth Mar., [846, at St. Luke's, Chelsea, Henrietta Grace, daughter of Vice-Admiral W. H. Smyth, K.S.F., D.C.L., F.R.S., sister to Professor Piazzi Smyth, Astronomer Royal for Scotland ; and great-niece of the first Lord Nelson.
Mrs. Baden-Powell now resides at 8, St. George's Place, Hyde Park Corner, W., having outlived her husband, by whom she has had issue seven sons and three daughters.

2. HENRY WARINGTON SMYTH, bn. 3rd Feb., 1847. St. Paul's School, 1857. Is a Master Mariner and Lieutenant Royal Naval Reserve. Barrister of the Inner Temple, 1876, of the Admiralty Bar. A member of the Shipwrights' Company, and

CHARLES POWELL, 2nd son of Baden and Hester Powell (see Chart Pedigree), was born 30th July, 1807. Trin. Coll., Oxon., B.A. 1829, M.A. 1833 of Speldhurst, Tunbridge Wells ; a J.P. for Kent. Was Master of the Mercers' Company, 1853, and again in 1882. He died 17th March, 1885, and was buried at Speldhurst, having married, 28th October, 1851, at Fillongley, Emily Ann (bn. 25th Feb., 3824), daughter of James Eyre Watson, of Fillongley Grange, co. Warwick, Esq., J.P. (see Baden Pedigree). She died 21st May, 1890, and was buried at Speldhurst ; having had issue :—

HENRY POWELL, 3rd son of Baden and Hester Powell (see Chart Pedigree), was born 6th March, 1809. Of Exeter Coll., Oxon., B.A. 1831, M.D. 1839. Was in practice first at Tunbridge Wells, subsequently at Coventry, and afterwards at Brighton. A Mercer by Patrimony. He died at Brighton, 18th May, 1867, and was buried at Speldhurst, Kent, having married on l0th January, 1842, at Tottenham, Middlesex, Mary Sophia, daughter of James Eyre Watson, of Fillongley Grange, co. Warwick, Esq., J.P. (see Baden Pedigree), by whom he had issue five sons and five daughters. Mrs. Powell now resides at the Croft, Crowborough, Sussex.

I. JAMES BADEN, bn. 3rd Dec., 1842.    Bradfield, 1856-61 ; Exeter Coll., Oxon., M.A. 1869 ; ordained Deacon, 1867, and Priest, 1870 ; Curate St. Paul's, Walworth, 1871-80 ; Senior Assistant Curate and Precentor at St. Paul's, Knightsbridge, 1881. Is a Mercer by Patrimony.

2. HENRY WATSON, bn. 6th January, 1847. Bradfield, 1858-64 ; now of West Tamworth, Queensland, Agent for Government Lands. Is a Mercer by Patrimony. He married, 22nd Feb., 1873, at Bathurst, New South Wales, Marion Constance Sarah, daughter of Richard Machattie, M.D., of Bathurst, N.S.W., by whom he has had issue five sons and three daughters.
