To visit the lovely Island of Rousay you need to take the Orkney Island Ferry, the 'M.V. Eynhallow' from Tingwall (Tingwall is on Mainland Orkney) to Rousay. This ferry also serves the Islands of Wyre and Egilsay and is both a passenger and car ferry. The journey between Rousay and Tingwall takes approximately 25 minutes.
Please note that the ferry can only take 10 vehicles so if you wish to bring your vehicle across, to avoid disappointment, it is important that you book your car on the ferry before travelling. If you do not wish to bring your car across, there is a free car park at the Tingwall Ferry Terminal.
