Grownups - The Prize was a magazine produced monthly for boys and girls with stories that were invariably moralistic and quizzes were scriptural. Printed in Holland and published for the proprietors by Wells Gardner, Darton & Co., the front was always a colour plate. When bound and produced as an annual it had a 13^th print placed at the front. My opinion is the printing is top class. The art content for the Victorian editions are typically sentimental (chocolate box) type with children and dogs & cats. By the beginning of the 1^st World War chromolithography had been dropped and the quality of the art work was variable.
