INSIDE THE COTTAGE
The main back door of the cottage opens into a well equipped kitchen with washing machine, fridge, microwave oven and electric cooker.
The controls for the oil-fired central heating are also here, as well as kitchen towels, supplies of cleaning materials and a vacuum cleaner.
The living room features a recently restored open fireplace, which can burn logs, coal or peat, all of which are available from shops in Lochinver. It also has a dining table and chairs, bookshelves with an odd variety of books, a few games and a CD player and radio.
Please note, there is no TV in the Cottage, and there isn't likely to be. If it is important to you to be able to watch TV on your holiday, I'm afraid you'd better look elsewhere.
If you relish the idea of time without a TV, then you'll probably spend a lot of time in the sun lounge, which gives a magnificent view over the small front garden and onto Inverkirkaig Bay. Sitting here of an evening with a cup of tea or a small glass of something is a very good thing to do. Regular visitors include seagulls, red deer and buzzards high overhead; more exotic visitors have included pine martens.
The bathroom has a bath and shower, and nothing else out of the ordinary.
We provide hand towels, but you should bring your own bath towels.
The large bedroom has a large wardrobe, double bed and single bed.
The small bedroom has a double bed and a chest of drawers.
We provide duvets and pillows, but you should bring your own bed linen.
Finally, as mentioned above, one of the best features of the cottage is the open fireplace, which many of our visitors like to relax in front of after a busy day.
