- Celebrate and stimulate interest in the beauty, history and character of Tain and Easter Ross
- Encourage the development, improvement and preservation of features of amenity and historical interest
- Encourage high standards of architecture and town planning in the area.
Join the Trust and share in our work on local conservation, current planning and development issues and historical research.
Members’ Events and Activities
Regular Members’ Events include talks by experts like local historian Councillor David Alston and Professor Charles McKean and visits to places of interest, mostly not normally open to the public.
Recent Venues include: Balnagowan Castle, Novar, Foulis Castle, Geanies House, Cromarty House, Tarradale House, Rosemarkie Church of Scotland.
Remembering Hidden Tain
Following the successful series of workshops and exhibition of we are engaged in developing further opportunities to investigate of the hidden origins of Tain beneath our feet, as a place of pilgrimage and its subsequent history.
