Church Notices 6 November

Welcome to all who have joined with us in worship this morning, with an especial welcome to any visitors among us. There is a brief act of informal communion after the service today, held in the side aisle.  Everyone is welcome to join in this.  Coffee and tea are served after the service, please stay for this if you are able.

The Newtonmore Memorial Book service will be held in St. Bride’s at 6 p.m. today, 6th November Sunday This is a quiet service for anyone who wants to remember someone they have loved and lost, whether or not their name is in the memorial book, although all names in the book will be read.

The prayer group meets in the vestry on Monday at 12.30.

Rhyme Time meets on Tuesday from 10.15 a.m.

The funeral of Mrs Pauline Wilson, of Mains House, formerly of Catlodge, Laggan, will be held in Inverness crematorium at 10 a.m. on Thursday.

This week the Bible study meets in Jean Burnard’s house at 2 p.m. and in the Barr’s home, Sundridge, Main Street in Newtonmore at 7 p.m., both on Thursday.

On Friday 11th November the acclaimed group “Kosmos” (2 violins and an accordion) will give a concert in St. Bride’s at 7.30 p.m.  Tickets at the door, £7 and £5.

Next Sunday we will gather at the war memorial after the service to  hold a short act of remembrance.
