Soroba Young Family Group is a Family centre based in the heart of the Soroba Community in Oban. It has been in operation for over 30 years.

The Nursery caters for children aged 2-5 years and
provides learning experiences for the children in accordance with Realising the Ambition, The 3 Assets approach, Birth to Three document and Curriculum for Excellence ensuring all children can achieve and become, Successful learners, Responsible Citizens, Confident Individuals and Effective contributors.
The nursery works in partnership with Argyll and Bute Council.
Our vision- Our vision is to be the best we can be, where all children and staff can realise and reach their full potential. We recognise the continual need to adapt and develop to meet the evolving needs of our children and their families. We want to provide a supportive environment that emphasises the importance of teamwork and shared leadership roles. Our vision is for children’s rights to be recognised, promoted and enshrined into our daily lives. Our vision is for all our children to be safe, healthy, achieving, nurtured, active, respected, responsible and included.

Our aims- We aim to ensure that our children are kept at the centre of all decision making, practice and policies within our setting. We aim to provide a nurturing and stimulating environment led by the four capacities of the Curriculum for Excellence. Where the impact of our attachment led practice will contribute to building positive early childhood experiences and relationships. We aim for each child to lead their own learning through play, curiosity, and discovery.
