SHELTER.

              Teams of interviwers and canvassers have been going around town centres encouraging people to support Shelter charity in aid of Homeless people, Christmas time and mid-winter are the periods when people are asked to remember those less fortunate than themselves. Only yesterday, 20/12/11, we were shown the deplorable conditions that some families have found themselves in and that was in Denver, Colorado, not a place normally associated with extreme poverty. Some of our most affluent areas in U.K. also have pockets of poverty which may go unnoticed by blinkered passers-by.
