Places and Inspirations... Whilst roaming around the landscapes of Lancashire, Yorkshire, Cumbria & Scotland several years ago I began to awake to the natural beauty and deep history of these lands. Over the last few years I have hopped between Kent, Cornwall and back and forth over the Irish Sea, spending time in Cork.. Wicklow.. Dublin.. Westmeath.. I have been touched by many wonderful places. I seek: trees and birds, rock pools and rivers, cathedrals of stone and stories in landscapes, faces in hedgerows and ancient stones, light through branches and carvings by wind, rain and hands.

Silverbranch Art... The Silver Branch I have borrowed from Celtic Stories. Manannan Mac Lir, the Celtic Sea God is associated with the otherworld and the land of apples. He possessed a magical branch of silver from which hung golden apples. This branch made beautiful music and possessed healing powers. Through my work I aim to keep in touch with and share in the spiritual heritage of these lands.

Ceramic Work... I began working in clay during 2010 while taking a two year course in Art & Sculpture in Dublin and soon found it to be a natural medium for me to work with. I enjoy the simplicity of starting with a simple lump of clay and travelling with it through all the making and shaping processes to the seemingly magical transformations of the kiln firings. It is an endlessly versatile material and I love to learn with it.
