New New New!

We have officially taken on Sugar Elf from Stacie MacDonald and already she is becoming a firm favourite!  Like a little mini Black Beauty, dainty little Sugar is black with a little white star.  Mirren will be partnering Sugar for now and we have a potential new sharer coming for a fortnights trial to see if she gets on with her too.  Sugar Elf is an 18yr old British Show Pony who has been there and done it and got the t-shirt she has probably taught hundreds of kids to ride over her career as a riding school pony and will hopefully enjoy the relaxed environment and less pressure of life at SPP.

We also have Zoe joining us as Ruby's new sharer.  This is very exciting as Zoe has agreed to be a bit of a Guinea pig for us as our first wheelchair user to come on board.  Judith and Zoe hope to work together to help Zoe first learn Natural Horsemanship and then to take this to training Ruby to drive!  Zoe has lots of experience training her assist dog Remus who we hope to intorduce to Ruby and even see if we can work them together!

Tommy will be coming to live with the herd at Eglinton Park.  Tommy is a Irish Cob gelding who retired from RDA a couple of years ago to one of Judith's friends.  When they were no longer able to keep him Judith asked to take over his loan and he will stay with the rest of the SPP herd where he can live out, get lots of cuddles and get out for his second favourite past time, hacking!  His first being eating!  Kelly will be helping to look after him until her new project arrives in the Spring.  Tommy will not be available to share as he has already spent 15 years as a Riding for the Disabled pony teaching and taking care of hundreds of children and adults with disabilities.  He is here to enjoy his retirement and for Judith to have a safe steady pony to hack out with the rest of the SPP gang.
