So there has been lots going on for SPP of late.
Cynthia and Georgia have been putting alot of time in with Cracker and Bailey working on their ridden work and trailer loading practise! in 2 weeks Bailey and Georgia will be joining Kelly and Amsel at Northern Highlights Coloured Cob Stud for some work experience and general good times with ponies!
Ruby tried out for a new friend in Zoe, who we hope will be coming on board. They both got on really well together for their first session and I am looking forward to helping them progress maybe even look at some Horse agility for this pair? Who knows the skys the limit!
Kelly will be popping home next week for a quick visit before returning north on her highland adventure so we are looking forward to hearing all the drama and high jinks she and Amsel have been getting up to.
Congratualtions to Amy for finishing school and being accepted into Edinburgh Uni, and now that she is free til Aug/Sept we hope to see her and Drum out and about round the park a lot more often!
Jay has been playing a little with Blottie and we hope to see this partnership blossom over the summer, Blottie is one cool horse and Jay will learn loads from her!
Blottie has another friend who has really been enjoying getting out and about on her, Long time friend to SPP, Ann-Louise, this pair can be seen out hacking and brave Ann-louise has even ventured a canter in the bareback pad something she said she hasnt done in a long time!
We will have 2 new pony faces joining us in a couple of weeks once Bailey has went up for his holidays Sugar Elf and Tolsta will be coming down to us from Stacie.
Sugar Elf is a 12.2hh British Show Pony mare who is 17yrs and will will be staying with SPP and her first job will be to teach Mirren to ride and she will hopefully become invaluable as we train and prepare to open to teach Think Like a Pony next year!
Tolsta is a rare Eriskay pony gelding who will be joining us for a little while to gain some experience away from home and hopefully get out with some small jockeys for some hacking to further his education. Tolsta will be available for sale to a very good natural horsemanship home at a very reasonable price. If you are interested please contact either myself or Stacie MacDonald.
We are in the process of organising an Open Day for the 17th of August and will be looking for volunteers to help out with stalls and raffles prizes on the day. please get in touch if there is something you think you could help with. More details on this later!
Thats all I can think of for an update just now I'm off to load some up to date pics of the herd!
