The course was fantastic. I enjoyed every minute. Many thanks to Hugh Piggott of Scoraig Wind Electric and Kathrin from Shanti Griha.

The views around Corran Scoraig were amazing. Here's a shot I took of the Summer Isles at sunset whilst walking up in the hills with Phil (Von Hasse) after the workshop one day.

Here's Hugh Piggott of Scoraig Wind Electric showing me how to hand  carve wooden wind turbine blades.

This was a really enjoyable process that produced really good blades.
Hugh is using a drawknife in the photo. A good spokeshave, digital calipers and a block plane are also very handy when making your blades.

This part was less trouble than I thought. My blade warped at the tip but still worked fine. The finished wind turbine ran very quietly.

The electrical  power in the wind turbine is produced when the dual magnet rotors pass over these copper coils.
