 Buzzard. High in the sky these large birds of prey hunt on Middlewick. |
 Carrion Crow. Common not just on the Wick but everywhere, an urban success story,and yet they feed on the Leather Jacket grubs that attack grass roots and if the grass suffers so does everything else, so the Crow makes a contribution to the diversity. |
 Starling. The Starling has seen a massive decline in numbers, the Wick is an important feeding ground for them. |

 Long Tailed Tit. A common but charming little bird. |

 Jackdaw. A common member of the Crow family of which 5 species occur on the Wick. |

 Rook. The saying once was "if you see a lot of Crows together they are Rooks and a Rook on it's own is a Crow. Not anymore as Crows now form flocks of a dozen or so. I will replace this image with a clearer one as and when I get one, but the aim is to demonstrate the bio-diversity of the Wick. |
