This was the worst floods since 1993 and the worst that some people can remember. The River Allan burst its banks for its whole length. There was particulary bad flooding in Stirling. Following really heavy rain the Allan began rising fast on the night of the 13th December 2006. At one point it rose 12 inches in under an hour causing massive flooding and many road closures.
