 Brightlingsea It seems that the Waterside fish and chip shop is open again though Winkies in New Steet is getting better reviews (2022). The Rosebud' at nearby Hurst Green is also good with great creek views from the garden. I wonder if 'Captain Bob' is still on tap! |

 Heybridge Basin, Blackwater Pre-booking strongly advised, as is not straying too far from the withies. Two convenient pubs but neither especially good for food. Brick built barbeques are available just beyond the shower block. |

 Waldringfield, Deben Lovely moorings, if you can secure one - call in advance. Try the boatyard first, then the HM. 'The Maybush', sister pub to the Butt & Oyster gives lovely views over the moorings. |
