Suffolk Yacht Harbour Our home marina. |
Ipswich Haven Marina When weather or your fancy demands a night in town. |
Neptune Marina, Ipswich Another option for a night on the town. |
Tidemill Yacht Harbour, Woodbridge Includes predictions of height over the cill for those attempting the dash up the Deben. A plan B very much required... |
Brightlingsea It seems that the Waterside fish and chip shop is open again though Winkies in New Steet is getting better reviews (2022). The Rosebud' at nearby Hurst Green is also good with great creek views from the garden. I wonder if 'Captain Bob' is still on tap! |
Bradwell Marina Caution required around low water especially on Springs. |
Tollesbury Marina Tide gauge at the entrance to the creek marking the height of tide over the marina sill. |
Heybridge Basin, Blackwater Pre-booking strongly advised, as is not straying too far from the withies. Two convenient pubs but neither especially good for food. Brick built barbeques are available just beyond the shower block. |
Burnham Yacht Harbour When the Crouch beckons... |
West Mersea A favourite haunt and former home of Maurice Griffiths. Water taxis in season (check times) and a choice of restaurants, pubs and WMYC’s clubhouse.. Watch out for the mud banks if using the tender |
Fambridge Yacht Haven Another Crouch option, further up river. |
Waldringfield, Deben Lovely moorings, if you can secure one - call in advance. Try the boatyard first, then the HM. 'The Maybush', sister pub to the Butt & Oyster gives lovely views over the moorings. |
