Whisper in my ear, my love,
And let me hear your heart.
For this affair will never end
Or will it ever start?
You kissed my hand so sweetly
On that shimmering springtime day,
And all I had to question was
Should I go or should I stay?
Your lips found mine with passion
But a ring flashed wedding band,
Blinded tears within my eyes
It would never go as planned.
I left you standing sadly
As I quickly walked away.
You thought I was just playing
But I love you to this day.
