The U17 league kicked off on Wednesday night in Portree, with visiting side Plockton keen to get of on a good foot.

 

The game started of at lightning pace with the Portree goal seeing action straight away.

 

The shoots came from all angles even a drop kick from the goalkeeper put pressure on Portrees defence, but the boys defended well, keeping Plockton attackers feeling like it would be 'one of those games'. 

 

Even the post kept them away from the onion bag.

 

The break came with some nice passing and a thumping shoot from Plockton's centre half Adam which was almost saved by Portree's goal keeper.

 

Portree pushed and pushed forward for a good spell but did not get to test Plockton's keeper.

 

Plockton had to dig deep to keep their lead and tried to put the game out of reach again with shoots from all angles even driven crosses along the goal line just would not go Plockton's way.

 

Portree put in some quick breaks in but just could not finish their good moves of with a shot.

 

The game was played with good spirit and was a good game to watch, hopefully a start of a good season.
