The future of youth football:

On Wednesday 28th i had a meeting with Plockton football club committee,the reason for this was to discuss the future of the youth football at Plockton.

At the present moment in time the football i run is a part of the active schools program that June Sanderson set up with me. What June and i wanted to see was the what the SYFA  was looking at too,which was for senior clubs have youth teams as well as adult football sides.

The meeting went well and we all decided that the way forward would be that Plockton youth became apart of the senior club which would create the pathway for the younger players to become senior players and keep football in Pockton going for many years to come.

Improve Your Youth Football Club

The Scottish FA Quality Mark is a youth football initiative which supports grassroots club development. With over 400 Scottish clubs and schools already participating, over 8500 coaches have directly benefited from coach development and first aid training to date.

With the support of partners at McDonald's and the Big Lottery Fund, the Scottish FA works with grassroots clubs and schools to broaden and increase youth and community participation as well as enhancing player, coach and volunteer development.
