Old NAIRN page 2

Nairn has been growing rapidly over the last few years. The population of the town is now over 11,000 people, up from approximately 5,000 in the 1960s.

As you can imagine the town and surrounding area has altered a great deal in the last 50 years. It has never been more important to record the history of Nairn than it is now. People have a need and deserve to know where they have come from. This is where a pictorial history book can prove to be a valuable aid in providing a sense of belonging to a particular area.

Nairn is rich in recorded history. The Museum at Viewfield House, Viewfield Drive, Nairn is chock a block with artefacts and archive information about Nairn and Nairnshire. For anyone interested in learning a bit more about Nairn/shire then a visit to the Museum is a must. You can also visit the Museum's website on www.nairnmuseum.co.uk for up to date information on periodic exhibitions etc.
