Following on-going campaigning by the Northern Pensioners the County Council have finally agreed to provide bus shelters on Dunwoody Way at the stops serving Eagle Bridge Medical Centre.
There will be a new stop provided on the opposite side of the road to the existing one to accomodate buses such as the 31 on their outward journey. (The circular no 16 is only a temporary service.)
Funding is being provided jointly by the County Council and the PCT,
Howver, and there always is a "however", these bus shelters will not have seats, probably the only new ones in the Borough not to have seats. The excuse is that to provide seats would require more work, cost too much money and would incovenience motorists.
We have asked our MP to take this up with the appropriate Minister
