Leighton Governors Elections

TRUST TO HOLD GOVERNOR ELECTIONS

Mid Cheshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (MCHFT) is inviting patients, carers and Members to stand as a Governor in its upcoming Council of
Governor elections. (Members of the public can join via the following link http://www.mchft.nhs.uk/members/how-do-i-join/)

The Trust, which manages Leighton Hospital in Crewe, Victoria Infirmary in Northwich and Elmhurst Intermediate Care Centre in Winsford, has 29
Governors, which includes two vacancies for Patient and Carer Governors and one in the Vale Royal, Cheshire West and Chester Constituency.

Governors help to fulfil a number of important roles, from representing the interests of the local community at Trust meetings to approving certain
appointments to the Board of Directors.

Dennis Dunn, MCHFT Chairman, said: "We really value our Governors as they provide us with vital feedback from our community.

"You do not need specific qualifications for the role other than an interest in healthcare and your local hospitals, and the commitment to represent
your constituents to the best of your ability."

If you are a Patient or Carer, or live in the Vale Royal, Cheshire West and Chester area, and are interested in becoming a Governor, you can nominate
yourself for the role, by completing a brief form.

Nominations are being taken from 9am on Wednesday, July 15, until 5pm Thursday, July 30, 2015, with voting then taking place during the last week
of August and first week of September, for those contested posts.
