WARNING OLD PEOPLE CROSSING
Back in 2007 we rasied with our local MP, then Chair of the Transport Select Committee, the late Gwyneth Dunwoody that the international road sgin warning of older people crossing ahead presented a very poor image of older people as hunched up and decrepit. We didn't get very far. It's an international road sign and so difficult to get changed. In the press this week Ros Altmann, self appointed "expert" on all things related to older peole has taken up the challenge and called for the sign to be "banned".
