GPs TO BE PAID FOR DIAGNOISING DEMENTIA

The government are proposing that GPs should be paid a bonus of about £55 every time they diagnose dementia in a patient.

Has anyone stopped to consider the catastrophic impact that a false positive can have on a patient's life?

Doctors are paid to diagnose illnesses. That's what they do. Why should they be paid a bonus for one particular condition?
