Last year we raised the issue of the re-routing of the No 6 so that it no longer stopped outside the railway station but went up and down South Street. This meant that the nearest stop to the staion was Nantwich Road near Edlestone Road or Claire Street of Gresty Road.
It was soon agreed that it was desirable to re-route by Rail House on Gresty Road provided Highways would agree to install a Buses Only Right Turn at the junction of Gresty Road and Nantwich Road.
This was soon ahieved but it's taken 9 months to get it implemented - well we're almost there and back to where we were before the traffic lights were introduced.
Lot's of people were involved apart from us but the local Labour Party seems to want to take all the credit.
Latest update -Now that everything is in place the bus operators must now await approval from the Traffic Commissioners for a change of route application.
