Now Labour Joins the Attack

Shadow Chancellor Ed Balls has now joined the attack on universal pensioner benefits saying they will cut winter fuel allowance to those above standard rate income tax. This it is claimed will save the massive amount of £108m However they fail to mention the administrative cost of implementing this which will take a large bite out of what is a pitiful amount.

It is also not clear how this will affect households were one member is on higher rate but the other isn't.

If you are a pensioner who feels they don't need the winter fuel allownace then either give it to charity or make your cheque payable to

HM Treasury

 and send it to :

Chancellor of the  Exchequer

11 Downing Street

LONDON

SW1A 2QAB

When politicians do something which appears to be stupid, either they are stupid or they have a hidden agenda. Which is it Mr Balls?
