New Pensioners Support Network
A new network has been announced offering free help to the elderly and infirm in Haslington. Neighbours network which also covers Winterley is run by a team of volunteers and helps those in need with small tasks that will enable them to stay as independent as possible. The service operates under Chairman Lee Allen from an office above the Bakery Cafe in Haslington. Between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. each weekday volunteers are by the telephon to take calls from people who need a little extra help.
